We regret to announce the passing of Kiyoto Hoshika, who was involved in the production of sCenes, including the specimen stands. He was 69 years old.
His sudden death at such a young age has left us in shock.

In recent years, he not only made recorders and flutes but also wooden shaft pens, and we were in the midst of discussions with him for our next sCenes production when we received this sudden and tragic news.

The COLLECTIBLE PEARL collection, which has now become an iconic collection for sCenes, was able to realize the unprecedented idea of "displaying pearls," and it is through this that many people have come to know about it. We believe this would not have been possible without Mr. Hoshika's efforts.
I still remember the感動 (deep emotion/excitement) I felt when the specimen stand was completed.

Mr. Hoshika was a friend of my father's since their school days, and I myself was doted on by him since childhood, so I remember feeling very happy when I became an adult and was able to work with him.

I was captivated by his kind personality and beautiful works, and the time I spent visiting his workshop many times and creating together was invaluable.

We extend our sincere respect and gratitude for Mr. Hoshika's achievements during his lifetime, and we humbly express our deepest condolences.

It is with great regret that we announce that sales of Mr. Hoshika's works will cease as of March.
