*What are Keshi Pearls?
Keshi pearls are pearls that are accidentally formed when foreign substances, such as sand grains, enter the shell of a cultured pearl oyster.
The foreign substance slightly irritates the inner shell, causing pearl-forming cells to enter and create nacre layers.
Unlike regular pearls, which are formed around a round nucleus, Keshi pearls do not have a nucleus, resulting in unique, naturally formed shapes.
However, many Keshi pearls have flaws or protrusions, and those that are perfectly round or of beautifully consistent quality are rarely found.
