*What are Keshi pearls?
Keshi pearls are accidentally formed when foreign matter, such as a grain of sand, irritates the shell during the cultivation of pearls.
The foreign matter slightly damages the inside of the shell, and the cells that produce nacre enter the interior, forming the nacre layers.
Unlike regular pearls, which are formed by inserting a round nucleus around which nacre layers are wrapped, Keshi pearls lack this nucleus, resulting in unique, naturally formed shapes.
However, most Keshi pearls have imperfections or protrusions, and it is rare to find ones that are rounded or of beautifully uniform quality.
