*What are Keshi Pearls?
Keshi pearls are pearls that are accidentally formed when foreign matter, such as a grain of sand, enters the shell during the cultivation of cultured pearls.
The foreign matter slightly irritates the inside of the shell, causing the cells that form pearls to enter the interior, and nacre layers are formed.
While regular pearls are created by inserting a round nucleus around which nacre layers are wrapped, keshi pearls do not have this nucleus, resulting in unique, naturally formed shapes.
However, most of them have imperfections or protrusions, and it is rare to find those that are rounded or of beautifully uniform quality.
