Wandering Pearl Chain Necklace - Akoya Keshi
This is an Akoya Keshi chain necklace where you can freely change the position of the small pearl to match your mood.
You can move it to the side of the center, to the back, or space them out.
It's a necklace that gently complements your outfit of the day.
We used two Akoya Keshi pearls of different sizes, approximately 6.5mm and 3.5mm.
The chain is an 18K Venetian chain, adjustable up to 45cm in length.
The main pearl has an 18K pipe passed through it to match its shape, allowing it to move smoothly along the chain.
The small side pearl, on the other hand, can be fixed in your desired position with a silicone-filled ball.
We've made some improvements from previously sold items; the central Akoya Keshi pearl now has an 18K pipe passed through it, and each pearl is carefully hand-carved to fit its shape.
This design protects the delicate pearl from chain friction without compromising its beautiful form, ensuring it can be cherished for a long time.
The main pearl here has a flat form with distinctive distortions that create character.
It's a soft, lingering design adorned with light and airy side pearls.
The Akoya Keshi pearls used are from the same Tsushima farmer as "Umihotaru," and are pearls with excellent luster and color.
*What are Keshi Pearls?
Keshi pearls are pearls that are accidentally formed when foreign matter, such as a grain of sand, enters a pearl-cultivating oyster and irritates it.
The inside of the shell is slightly damaged by the foreign matter, and the cells that form the pearl enter the interior, forming nacre.
While regular pearls are made by inserting a round nucleus around which nacre layers are formed, keshi pearls lack this nucleus, resulting in a unique, natural-looking form.
However, most of them have scratches or protrusions, and very few are round or of beautifully uniform quality.
