*What are Keshi pearls?
Keshi pearls are pearls that are accidentally formed in cultured pearl oysters when foreign objects, such as sand grains, irritate the oyster.
The foreign object slightly scratches the inside of the oyster, and the cells that form the pearl enter the interior, forming the nacre.
Regular pearls are created by inserting a spherical nucleus and then wrapping layers of nacre around it. However, Keshi pearls do not have this nucleus, resulting in unique, naturally formed shapes.
However, most of them have flaws or protrusions, and it is rare to find ones that are rounded or beautifully uniform in quality.
