Pearl Details
PQ (PRECIOUS PEARL QUALITY)

NUMBER: SU58279 ORIGIN: Tsushima, Japan
SHAPE: Baroque SIZE: aprx. 8-9mm
COLOR: Blue Tones GRADE [Nacre Thickness]: Thick
GRADE [Luster]: AAA GRADE [Surface]: AAA

This pearl has a deep, bluish-green hue, creating beautiful iridescent overtones.
Its size is approximately 8.9mm in width, 10.3mm in height, and 8.3mm in thickness (including findings).
Its baroque form is well-suited for stud earrings.
While it possesses a beautiful luster from every angle, when light hits its surface (first image), it shines brilliantly like ripples spreading on water, which is exceptionally beautiful.

※About Umibotaru
These are natural blue baroque Akoya pearls cultivated by one of Japan's leading farmers, operating for 120 years in Tsushima, Nagasaki Prefecture.
Only pearls with a mysterious blue, as if reflecting the sea of Tsushima, are given the name "Umibotaru" and certified as a unique pearl brand.

Natural blue Akoya pearls are created when organic components of the shell enter the nacre layers, producing beautiful interference colors. Since this color occurs accidentally, it is rare and very valuable for the blue to beautifully cover the entire pearl.

While natural blue Akoya pearls are known to be prone to color changes, "Umibotaru" pearls have thick nacre and deep color, and undergo a preservation process under strict management to minimize color change.

You can read an interview with the producers of Umibotaru here.

【Nickel-Free】

The metal fittings (K18, PT900) are "nickel-free," completely devoid of nickel, which is prone to causing metal allergies.

※This does not guarantee that no one will experience metal allergic reactions (allergy-free). If you feel any abnormality on your skin, please stop use immediately and consult a specialist.

【Handling of Screw Parts】

attach

This product features "anti-loosening treatment" on the threads of the screw parts.
※Some parts are untreated.
This treatment involves coating the threads with a thin, elastic film to prevent screws from loosening due to vibrations, using friction.
However, it does not lock the screws, so loosening may occur depending on usage conditions.
When using, please ensure the screw is securely fastened before wearing, and periodically check for any loosening while wearing to ensure safer use.

This product uses K18 or Pt900.
Compared to materials like iron, these materials have lower hardness, so there is a risk of the screw part wearing down or breaking depending on usage.
Please be careful not to apply excessive upward or downward force when screwing it in.
Should the screw part deteriorate to the point where use becomes difficult, please contact us for repair or suggestions for remaking it into a different piece of jewelry.
Please contact us via the contact page on our website.

【Precautions】

・When cleaning the metal parts, be careful not to touch the screw part or the pearl.
・Pearls may change color or crack if left in hot and humid environments for extended periods. Always store them in a place away from direct sunlight.
・Pearls are soft and easily scratched. Store them in a separate case so they do not come into contact with other accessories.
